Anahit Grigoryan

Armenian-born soprano Anahit Grigoryan realized from childhood that music would play a defining role in her life. By attending a special music school, Ms. Grigoryan began both her piano and vocal studies at the age of 7. Anahit was enrolled in twice per week piano and voice lessons throughout her childhood as part of her music school requirement. As an advanced vocal student she performed in many cities in Armenia. In 1998, Anahit was selected to represent the school in the Youth Music Festival in Egypt, Cairo. She continued her training as a singer at the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan where she earned her Master’s Degree in Vocal Arts with Honors. In addition she sang and played several roles in opera studio. Meanwhile, she was a voice teacher’s assistant in the music school in Yerevan.

Anahit Grigoryan relocated to Los Angeles in 2009. Since then, she has been actively participating in the local community’s life by being the guest soloist at several events at the ALEX Theater, Glendale and at the St. Leon Cathedral, Burbank, and also teaching private voice/piano at the area music studios. In 2012, Ms. Grigoryan was the part of the Redwoods Opera Workshop in Mendocino, California, where she presented opera scenes on “An Evening of Opera”. In 2013 Anahit played and sang multiple roles from operas in a concert presented by Thriving Creative Artists “Opera Stars of Tomorrow” in Santa Monica.

In February 2013, Anahit Grigoryan became one of the main teachers at The Music Junction, where she teaches with a passion for music education by sharing her knowledge of fundamentals in voice and piano, and helping her students to succeed as professional performers, and as music lovers. She is one of the lead teachers at The Music Junction teaching all ranges of expertise in piano and voice, and she teaches the MTAC certification course for those interested in getting music education certifications in Piano or Voice.
